Clem-en-teen

Although Paddleford's first name is Clementine, it is pronounced Clem-en-teen
not Clem-en-tine like the song "O My Darling Clementine."

Yes, many people say Clem-en-tine and that is Okay, just don't let some of her family members hear you pronounce it that way.

This blog was created for....

This blog was created to promote a book written about Clementine Paddleford (1898-1967).

Paddleford was born and raised in Stockdale, Kansas (town no longer in existence) and graduated from Kansas State Agricultural College (now Kansas State University), Manhattan, KS, in 1921 with a degree in Industrial Journalism.

After graduation Paddleford left the Little Apple for the Big Apple and there she made her home and a notorious career as the top Food Editor in the United States.

The authors, Kelly Alexander and Cynthia Harris, from extremely different backgrounds came together to write a book about a woman they both came to admire.

Stay tune on this blogspot for more information about the authors, the book, and Clementine Paddleford.
